Terms of use

Draft, last updated 14 October 2026. These terms will be reviewed before the public launch. Words in [brackets] will be completed.

1. About these terms

These terms govern the use of edonto – the application at app.edonto.com, the lab portals at *.edonto.net and this website (together the "Service"). The Service is provided by [Company name] Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number [number], registered office [address] ("edonto", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms on behalf of the organization you represent. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who can use edonto

edonto is a business service for dental laboratories, dental practices and clinics and their staff. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for your organization. The Service is not intended for consumers or patients.

3. Accounts and organizations

You provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. Each organization (a lab or a clinic) manages its own team, roles and settings and is responsible for who it gives access to.

Keep your sign-in details confidential, use two-factor authentication where possible and tell us without delay if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. The Service

edonto helps labs and clinics to exchange and manage dental cases – including case intake, catalog and prices, cost estimates, production, invoicing, lab portals and the clinic calendar.

The base version is free of charge. edonto is in active development: we may add, change or remove features. Features we describe as planned or coming soon are not a commitment.

5. Fees

The base version is free. If we introduce paid features, we will describe them and their prices in advance; they apply only if your organization chooses to subscribe. We will not charge you without your agreement.

6. Your content and data

Everything your organization enters or uploads – such as cases, files, scans, messages, patient information, prices and invoices ("Your Content") – remains yours. You grant us the right to host, process and display Your Content to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you and to the organizations you share it with.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having a lawful basis to process it, in particular for patient data, and for informing patients as required by law. For personal data in Your Content, your organization is the controller and edonto acts as processor under our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. [The data processing agreement will be published before launch.]

When you send a case to a lab or receive a case from a clinic, the case data is shared with that organization. Clinics decide in their settings how much patient information labs see.

7. Labs and clinics

edonto is a tool for the cooperation between labs and clinics; we are not a party to their business relationship. Orders, prices, delivery dates, the quality of dental work and any warranty or liability for it are matters between the lab and the clinic.

Cost estimates are calculated from the prices a lab has set; the lab confirms the final price. Invoices created in edonto are documents of the lab. Each lab is responsible for its tax and fiscal obligations, for example issuing fiscal documents where required by law.

8. No clinical advice

edonto does not provide medical or dental advice. Clinical decisions and the dental products themselves remain the responsibility of the professionals involved. Hints and warnings in the Service, for example about appointments at risk, are aids and do not guarantee any outcome.

9. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others – in particular, you must not upload malicious code or content you have no right to, try to access accounts or data of other organizations, interfere with the security or operation of the Service, extract data automatically on a large scale, or use invitations to send unsolicited messages.

10. Lab portals

Labs are responsible for the logo, texts and other content of their portal and confirm that they have the right to use it. Subdomains must not be misleading or infringe the rights of others. We may refuse or withdraw a subdomain and remove portal content that breaches these terms.

11. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and secure and make regular backups. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, in particular during maintenance. Please keep your own copies of documents you need to retain, for example by exporting your invoices.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and the master catalog belong to us or our licensors. During the use of the Service, we grant your organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it in accordance with these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the Service.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to this, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees your organization paid us in that period and £100.

14. Suspension and termination

You can close your organization's account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are seriously breached or if it is necessary to protect the Service or other users; where reasonable, we will tell you in advance.

After an account is closed, we delete Your Content within [30] days, unless we are required by law to retain it. Please export the data you want to keep before closing your account.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will inform you of material changes by email or in the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after that, the updated terms apply.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which your organization is established.

17. Contact
